This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar storage are used on the website at https://akbulakgida.com.tr/ (the “Site”), why, for how long, and how you can manage your preferences. The detailed notice on the processing of personal data is in the Privacy Notice (KVKK); this policy focuses only on cookies and is based on the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guide on Cookie Practices.
1. In brief
- The Site uses only one first-party cookie, and it is for remembering your preferences.
- No analytics, advertising/marketing or social media cookies are used; therefore such categories are not shown in the Cookie Preferences panel.
- The Functional category is only for Google Maps on the contact page and is off by default. You do not need to press a separate button to see the map; when you allow the “Functional” preference, the map loads automatically.
- Browsing the Site, scrolling or closing the panel does not mean consent. Consent is given only by “Accept” or by saving your choice in the preferences panel; with “Reject” the functional category stays off.

The Site does not use the browser’s local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage). Google’s map frame, however, may use its own storage within its own domain, only when permission is given; the Site does not control this. No session cookie is set for visitors; WordPress session cookies for Site administrators who log in to the administration panel are used only at administrator login and do not concern visitors.
3. About Google Maps
The contact page has a Google Maps embed showing our address. This area is not mandatory: the map loads only if you allow the “Functional” preference. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google; Google may receive data such as your IP address and browser information and may place its own cookies. Google is responsible for processing this data under its own policy. If you do not allow it, or withdraw permission later, the map does not load / is removed; the address and the “Get Directions” link remain available.
When you withdraw permission, the map area is removed and no new requests are sent; however, the Site cannot delete cookies Google has previously placed in your browser; you can delete them from your browser’s cookie settings. The assessment of the Google side under the Law’s provisions on transfers abroad is in section 4 of the Privacy Notice (KVKK).
4. How do you manage your preferences?
- In the notice shown on your first visit, Accept, Reject and Preferences are offered with equal prominence.
- You can reopen and change your decision at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the Site’s footer and withdraw your permission. Withdrawing is as easy as giving: just turn the functional option off and save.
- Your preferences are kept for 180 days; if the preference version (2) changes (for example, if a new cookie or service is added), your choice is asked again.
- Changing the language does not reset your preference and does not mean consent; your choice applies in all language versions.
- You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings; if you block the essential preference cookie, your preference cannot be remembered and the notice appears again on every visit.
5. Legal basis
The essential preference cookie is used, because it is strictly necessary to apply and prove your preference, without requiring explicit consent, under Article 5/2-(f) of the Law (the legitimate interest of the data controller). The functional category (Google Maps) relies on explicit consent under Article 5/1 of the Law; consent relates to a specific matter, is based on information and is given freely, by an active action.
6. Changes
If a new cookie or external service is added to the Site, this policy is updated first and your permission is asked again by increasing the preference version. The version and date at the top of the page show the actual date of change.
